About Hypnosis

It's not hocus-pocus! There is no magical, mystical feeling of being hypnotized. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. You do all the work and the hypnotherapist simply helps to guide you to use the most important tool you own- the sub-conscious mind. The term sub-conscious mind is becoming more and more popular as the "higher consciousness."
Many years ago, a hypnotist was an entertainer on stage that would make you bark like a dog or sing like a musician, making everyone laugh. Today, a hypnotist is likely to be a physician in the emergency room or a chiropractor helping you relieve pain or quit smoking, a sports coach helping you to enhance your sports abilities or a psychologist helping to rid you of unwanted thoughts and helping you to develop a new attitude.
Hypnosis is a very highly respected technique. A good hypnotherapist knows how to create a new inner belief that will set the wheels in motion to make changes in the way you think, feel and behave. You are always in control. Your senses become keener and you hear everything I say. You cannot get stuck in a trance. You can always move if you want to, speak if you want to and hear everything. And at anytime, you can open your eyes and no longer participate. It is easy, and very relaxing. You simply sit back or lie down in a very comfortable position and close your eyes and listen to my voice. I simply help you to relax your entire body to a state similar to relaxed pre-sleep. Breathing is shallow and the conscious and subconscious minds are open to suggestion. You will never do or say anything you don't want to or feel uncomfortable with doing. You may feel so relaxed that you feel like you have fallen asleep but there is no sleep in hypnosis. With my soothing voice and some very relaxing music, I lead you into guided meditation for whatever it is you so desire. If you want to lose weight, I have you imagine yourself as slimmer and stronger, healthier and firmer. You may hear, "you no longer have the desire or urge to snack or eat between meals because you are already full. You are completely satisfied by a normal, well balanced meal. You no longer overeat at mealtime..." My inductions are very professional and been proven extremely successful for thousands of people over the years. After the hypnosis, you may feel very relaxed but the suggestions can last for many many years.
Today Hypnosis has gone mainstream. Thousands of men and women are now turning to this method for help. Not only do doctors recommend it, but some hospitals now provide this service. I have provided this service in many hospitals in Illinois, temporarily and have been asked to stay on permanently but remain independent. The American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association have approved hypnotherapy. The British Medical Association and many other similar organizations in other countries have also approved hypnotherapy. It's fast therapy and extremely successful and it is affordable. It is not dangerous. The process of hypnosis has no dangers but you should go to someone with experience and is a professional in this field, preferably with a background related to mental health, such as myself.
